Busy Busy
I have been so behind on trying to update my life on tumblr. Since the last post we have moved into our first house, moved in, painted, and landscaped the crap out of it. That doesn’t look like much to most people but we were left with less than a blank slate of a yard. More like a broken slate on a sideways easel.

To buy or to DIY?
Lately I have been scowering the world wide web in search of different types of invitations. You can buy cheap ones, expensive ones, skinny ones, and pretty much get anything made for you on Etsy. I have found a few on Wedding Paper Divas that I liked but then I feel so stingy when I see how much these ones are that I like.

Ok ok.. so I have always been the type of person that LOVES to get everything done way before it needs to be. This wedding will be the same. Mom and I went on a late night craft run and man do I love the deals in craft stores right now. All of the fall decor is on sale, including fake flowers, due to Christmas and Halloween slowly taking over the stores. That means sales galore on the fake flowers...
And the race has begun...
Tada… it is now starting. Wedding planning can now officially commence in my mind. Today, after one hecktic day at work I signed and secured the wedding venue. The venue is cascade gardens like I mentioned in a recent post but I decided to take pictures of the place to give myself a better perspective on planning.. and so people could see. :) The owner said that I was also super lucky...
Venue MADNESS!
All of last week was spent making post work runs to venues in the valley. Truthfully, there are not very many good venues in the valley that have enough room in the fall for both the ceremony AND the reception in the same area. I know that if I had my wedding in the summer sun it would be a lot easier to find a place because all outdoor venues are more prominent in the the area but we both love...
Could I ask you a favor?
mmm.. wedding favors. I am on a total shift from venues, but until I have that set down in stone I guess I will obsessively browse wedding favors. I think I am set on having Chinese takeout boxes.
Of course they will not have the personalized printing but maybe they will have a ribbon and a cute personalized sticker. Maybe the red/orange trendy dots.

Wedding Venue
Oh my oh my I just want a venue. So, the tentative date for this wedding is 10-1-11. That is if I am able to find a venue that isn’t booked that day! A friend from highschool is getting married next year as well and ran into my mother earlier in the week. She said she got the last open weekend in September (2011) at American Homestead. I'm Engaged... in hand to hand combat!
Alright, most likely everyone (or most people) know by now that I am currently engaged. This event happened friday night after walking back from a rock concert that we went to in tri-cities. I am very happy to start the whole wedding process even though I have been secretly perusing wedding magazines. Now I can buy them and not feel slightly guilty. Now date is set yet but I think we are focusing...

Oh my how work has been a busy time lately. I have one HUGE experiment and one “normal” sized one. Which in Joe’s (my bosses) definition of normal size means it is still preeetttty big. My larger experiment has to be hands down the one that is stressful. We received unreleased strains of potatoes.. from people I can’t mention, number unmentioned, types unmentioned haha....

Finally up and running again!
I finally got internet that is worth a damn and now I can finally make posts on Tumblr! Now since I am shacked up at the parental’s house I have been burdened with the horrible Dial-up internet. Tomorrow I start work again… I must be civil.
Oh Yakima...
So, I have been home for four days now. I don’t start work til Monday so I have a week of what people would call “relaxation”. OR what I call sheeeeer boredom! Today I finally got further on my unpacking. I am pretty sure that I only have one whole box of clothes/shoes to put somewhere… anywhere. But here is pretty much how my week has gone.
Sunday: First full day...
Graduation Day
So I woke up at 5:00 am. Yup. Couldn’t sleep. Then after a while I decided to steam my graduation gown and ended up nicking it with an iron and burning a hole in it. :(. Then I dropped my container of foundation and it splattered all over my dress.
Went to graduation and everything surprisingly nothing happened. Lunch went scott-free as well.
THEN, my mom told my dad to hold the door...
The end is near...
The end of college that is! Uh.. as I just lay here in bed WAY to early to be up I realize, holy cow, I am graduating tomorrow! Pretty sure what started it was my brother being here and sleeping on the couch… now I can’t make my normal coffee without waking him up and I REALLY want some!
