Venue MADNESS!
All of last week was spent making post work runs to venues in the valley. Truthfully, there are not very many good venues in the valley that have enough room in the fall for both the ceremony AND the reception in the same area. I know that if I had my wedding in the summer sun it would be a lot easier to find a place because all outdoor venues are more prominent in the the area but we both love fall… so a fall wedding it will be.
Once I went to Cascade GardensI would say I was soooolllddd! The website doesn’t even do the venue justice but when you go there the layout and the huge area the allows guests to wander is exactly what we both wanted. Rob said he liked it because at a lot of weddings you feel cramped up in a small hall or what not where this is open and relaxing.
This next wednesday we will be signing the contract and i will be able to relax a little knowing that I actually will have somewhere to get married. I plan on taking tons of pictures of the property for my own reference and throw someone here too. Next is the photographer.. someone I already knew I wanted, is open for the day, and a respect as a photographer. Keep you updated in the process as we go.. :)
